I’ve been teaching music and yoga on the North Shore for about 15 years. I’m also a mother and have a passion for natural medicines that come from our Mother Earth.  I began working with an Amazonian frog secretion called kambô about 5 years ago.

I experienced dramatic shifts in my life when I began working with Kambo and am happy to share this sacred jungle medicine with others.

The Waxy Monkey Tree Frog lives in the Amazon and secretes Kambô which has been used as a sacred medicine for thousands of years. Kambo is given to hunters to help them to be swift, strong, and focused. Amazonian tribes have also traditionally used Kambô to clear what they call “Panema” which represents any
kind of unwanted energy, (physical, mental, emotional or spiritual).

Kambô circulates in the heart and can increase the body’s natural ability to heal itself by eliminating toxins through the lymphatic system and fortifying the immune system. Known as the “vaccine of the forest,” Kambô has also gained recognition outside of the Amazon as a powerful healing modality.

Kambô has been described as “a fantastic chemical cocktail with potential medical applications, unequaled by any other amphibian” by Italian scientist Vittorio Erspamer of the University of Rome.

Research has shown the chemical makeup of Kambô to contain short chains of amino acids, known as peptides. These bio-active
peptides bind with receptor sites in the brain triggering chemical reactions in the body.

The Kambô peptides include:
dermorphin and deltorphin, which are powerful pain killers without addictive effects.
Phyllomedusin and phyllocaerulein, which contribute to the purging of toxins.
Dermaseptin, which promotes powerful antimicrobial activity against bacteria, yeast, fungi, and tryptophyllins which are potent against candida.

There is also compelling research that has been carried out by the University of Paris on the effect of Dermaseptin on cancer cells.

The properties of kambo peptides suggest it may be helpful for the following conditions:
Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Migraines, Blood circulation problems, High Blood Pressure, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, Vascular insufficiency, Organ diseases, Cancer, Fertility problems, Deeply rooted toxins, Chronic pain, Addictions, Parasites, Bacterial, Viral and Fungal Infections and Candida.

It is legal to work with Kambô. It is not a psychedelic, and it is not psychoactive. Kambô is very safe when used responsibly in the right hands. It can be applied very slowly, conservatively, and carefully. Working with a well-trained, certified and experienced Kambo practitioner gives security and peace of mind to those receiving treatments. The International Association of Kambo Practitioners Code of Practice lays down guidelines for the safe and responsible use of Kambô including screening out those whom cannot safely receive Kambô.
